History

The lubricants department started operations in a highly competitive market in 1995 and has shown consistent annual growth, capturing market share through the availability of globally recognised products, technical expertise and unrivaled service. These qualities allow our customers to focus on their business operations confident that their lubrication needs are in good hands.

 

The department began with the introduction of the Mobil brand of lubricants. After the merger of Exxon and Mobil in 2001 the company’s performance convinced ExxonMobil that the Esso brand could also be entrusted to Lange's care.

 

After ExxonMobil withdrew from the Caribbean region in 2010, Lange entered into a sole distributorship agreement with Gulf Oil International for Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean and so began a new phase in the evolution of the lubricant’s department. The Gulf brand tagline "Your Local Global Brand" was a perfect fit for the company.

 

Lange supplies a wide range of Gulf Oil lubricants for Industrial, Commercial, Marine and Automotive applications. We seek to ensure that the attributes of the brands are clearly reflected in terms of our service and our support as a distributor. Our widespread sales and distribution network spans both Trinidad and Tobago and is efficiently served by our dedicated sales representatives and delivery staff.

 

Specific geographic regions have been assigned to individual salesmen to provide the most effective coverage. We work closely with them to ensure that our sales representatives receive high quality training and updated technical information. This, combined with their years of industry experience make them well equipped to provide excellent technical support.

 

With Gulf Oil Marine, Lange is part of the fastest growing international marine delivery network and is responsible for making deliveries to visiting motor vessels at anchor or at dock. Lange co-ordinates all customs documentation and brokerage and the pumping of lubricating oil to the visiting vessels..

 

Lange also has available the Sampson line of lubricating equipment, with such items as full dispensing systems, grease pumps and used oil collection units.
